1. What Stump'N Is (and Isn't)

Stump'N ("we," "us") operates a lead-routing platform that connects homeowners seeking tree and outdoor services with independent, third-party landscaping contractors. We are a technology platform only. We do not perform landscaping, tree removal, stump grinding, or any outdoor services. We do not employ, supervise, insure, or guarantee any contractor. All work, scheduling, pricing, payment, and dispute resolution occur directly between the homeowner and the contractor they choose.

2. Service Area

Quotes and service requests are accepted only within our current service area. Requests originating outside the service area may be declined or placed on a waitlist.

3. Homeowner Terms

By submitting a request, you confirm the information you provide is accurate and that you authorize Stump'N to share your name, contact details, address, and job description with subscribed contractors serving your area. Contractors may contact you by phone, text, or email regarding your request. Stump'N makes no representation about contractor availability, response time, pricing, licensure, insurance, or quality of work. You are solely responsible for verifying any contractor's credentials before hiring.

4. Contractor Terms

Contractor accounts are subject to review and approval. You represent that all business information submitted — including licensure and insurance status — is truthful and current. Subscription fees, where applicable, are billed per the plan selected; billing may be waived or adjusted at Stump'N's sole discretion. Leads are provided as-is with no guarantee of volume, conversion, or accuracy. Reselling or redistributing leads is prohibited. Stump'N may suspend or terminate accounts for misrepresentation, homeowner complaints, or misuse of the platform.

5. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. STUMP'N IS NOT A PARTY TO ANY AGREEMENT BETWEEN HOMEOWNERS AND CONTRACTORS AND BEARS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACTS, OMISSIONS, WORKMANSHIP, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR INJURIES ARISING FROM SERVICES PERFORMED BY ANY CONTRACTOR.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stump'N's total liability arising out of or relating to the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) fees you paid to Stump'N in the three months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50). Stump'N shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stump'N and its owners from claims arising out of your use of the platform, your violation of these terms, or any transaction between a homeowner and a contractor.

8. Communications Consent

By providing your phone number or email, you consent to receive service-related communications from Stump'N and from contractors matched to your request. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time.

9. Governing Law & Changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts located in Cook or Will County, Illinois. We may update these terms at any time; continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Homeowners: name, phone, email, service address, and job details you submit with a quote request. Contractors: business name, contact name, phone numbers, email, website, license/insurance information, service area, and plan selection. We also collect basic technical data (browser type, approximate location from ZIP code) needed to operate the service-area check.

2. How We Use It

Homeowner information is used for one purpose: routing your request to subscribed contractors serving your area so they can contact you about the job. Contractor information is used to verify applications, operate accounts, and deliver leads. We use contact details to send service-related notifications.

3. Who We Share It With

Homeowner requests are shared with matched contractors — that is the service. We do not sell personal information to data brokers or advertisers. We use service providers (hosting, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under their own security obligations. We may disclose information if required by law.

4. Retention

Lead and account data is retained as long as needed to operate the platform and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Contact below); we will honor verified requests except where retention is legally required.

5. Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. Illinois residents and residents of states with consumer privacy laws may have additional rights, which we will honor as applicable.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure; submit only the information needed for your request.

The platform is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
